Milton Friedman would love the free market ideals displayed in this song. The first benefit Nicki Minaj shows of the free market that she operates in (where government is uninvolved as Friedman believed in) is the prosperous outcomes that result from individuals, including artists like herself, being able to freely exert their skills and abilities to provide valued goods and services to consumers. For example, she talks about the results of her ambition and hard work that has lifted her to the top in the music industry with lyrics about her popularity and wealth. The second manner in which this song exemplifies Milton Friedman's ideal free society, is the way Nicki Minaj makes use of her freedom by using lyrics that can be very controversial such as the N-word and other harsh or controversial language. While Milton Friedman might not endorse these lyrics, he did believe that individuals should be allowed to do whatever they want as long as they do not infringe upon the rights of others.
